The Lexile Framework for Reading measures reading performance and text complexity on the same developmental scale. A Lexile® student measure is a measure of a student’s reading level. Children receive Lexile student measures through their school’s preferred assessment or reading programme and/or national assessments. A Lexile text measure is a measure of reading content complexity. Lexile measures make it easy for educators and parents to personalise learning and track growth over time.
