Lexile Student Measures: for Assessments and Reading Products
The Lexile Framework allows test publishers and ed tech companies to report students’ reading scores as Lexile measures. Reporting Lexile measures for student reading ability allow for meaningful progress monitoring and benchmarking as well as a means of accurately connecting students to reading content at just the right level. Lexile Text Measures: for books and other reading materials
Lexile measures are also assigned to reading materials. After being analysed using the Lexile algorithm that evaluates semantic and syntactic characteristics, a piece of text receives a Lexile text measure. A Lexile text measure provides an objective means of communicating the difficulty of a text to educators, parents and students. The company partners with more than 200 content publishers and have measured more than 100 million books, articles and websites.
